Fantastic 2-Minute Scrapbook Page Border Tip

Adding border to your layout can instantly transform it from plain to vivid!

In today's tip, learn how you can easily bring your page together and brighten up everything with just a simple trick!

Step 1

The things that you'll need are a lovely background page of your choice, your pictures, a cardstock that will go well with your background page, and a craft knife. Let's begin our fantastic layout!

Step 2

Get your background paper and cut it over by half an inch all the way around. As you can see, I used a paper with a lovely rustic background which definitely suits the location of our family pictures which is a good start to making a scrapbook from scratch.

Step 3

Next, get your cardstock. Choose something that would really set off your page. As for me, I am going to use this pink one to give it a pop of color.

Step 4

Then on the inside of that, using my craft knife I made two photo mats that will serve as the borders for my pictures.

Step 5

Put your page back on top, then put your photos on the photo mats as seen below.

Step 6

That just made my page completely work! It turned from odd bits into a lovely pop of finish.

It's so easy! You can add a few embellishments like adorable buttons and maybe a title, and this is good to go! Look how quickly you can put a page together!
