Nifty Scrapbook Border Trick: Use Scrap Paper!

Adding borders is a great way to finish off a scrapbook layout! It enhances your page and gives focus to your overall design. ✨
 
However, being in a circumstance wherein you do not have enough papers for your outline can be quite frustrating, especially when you are already in the creative vibe!
 
For today's tip, let me share a nifty solution for this kind of situation! It's a simple border workaround by using trimmed paper scraps!

Read the Step-by-Step Guide Below:

Step 1

All you need are: paper scraps, paper cutter, glue, scissors, and cardstock!

♥How to START and FINISH a layout to perfection (so no more pushing things around on a page for hours and hours).

Step 2

Using your trusty paper cutter, trim your desired scrap papers.

Make sure to cut them big enough for it to stick through the cardstock.

Just keep getting as many as you could to get all the way around.

You could actually mix up and trim another paper that would compliment your first one.

Step 3

Next, trim your cardstock to your desired size as seen below.

Step 4

Once you're happy with the size of your cardstock, turn it over and put a bit of glue on the edges all the way around. I used my glue tape because it's easier to control along the edge.

Step 5

You can now stick your trimmed scrap paper on to the back of the cardstock.

Step 6

Then, either trim down the edges using your scissors or you can just let them be like a lovely pleated crossover of papers.

As for me, I like mine trimmed off clean.
